Not Sure Where to Start?
Some people call this spiritual warfare. Some call it being targeted. Some just call it a really dark season they can't explain. Whatever word you reach for, if any of this is familiar, you're not imagining it, and there's a way through it. Below are some of the ways this arc tends to feel from the inside. Choose whatever sounds most like where you are right now — there's no wrong answer, including "I don't know yet."
This is the beginning of the arc, not a sign anything is wrong. The aloneness is normal here — it doesn't mean support isn't coming, only that it hasn't arrived yet.
The seed doesn't need ready soil to be real. Not having the ground prepared yet isn't a sign the seed was wrong, or that you missed something — the preparing of the ground is often the next part of the work, not a prerequisite you failed to meet first.
Disorientation here is a sign the old identity is actually loosening, not evidence something has gone wrong. This is often where people feel most tempted to turn back, because the new self doesn't feel solid yet.
This is usually the hardest stage to sit inside, because it's where the burlap gets named specifically, and family is often where the burlap was first wrapped. Seeing it clearly is the actual work, not a detour from it.
Change that arrives before you feel ready for it is still real change. Readiness is not a prerequisite here — it's often a result of having already moved.
This stage is often the loneliest and the most doubted by others. It is also, historically, the stage right before genuine doors start to open. It is not a sign you are doing anything wrong.
This is a threshold, not an arrival. The door opening is real, and so is the fact that you haven't fully walked through it yet. Both things are true at once.
